NYS Amends Law Related to Surrogate Decision-Making for Hospice Care

New York public health law has been revised in relation to providing for decisions regarding hospice care on behalf of a hospice-eligible incapable adult patient without a surrogate.  Read the act that was signed into law by Governor Cuomo on 8/13/15, adding a new subdivision 5-a and repealing paragraph (c) of subdivision 5 of section 2994-g of NY public health law.
